Additional Configurations for Service Request APIs

To enable the Service Request services, make sure that you perform the following configurations in your database and Quantum Fabric application.

JSON Web Token (JWT) for Authentication Dependencies

Ensure that the following dependencies for the Account Aggregation Fabric app are in place.

  • For JWT Token Generation, the Account Aggregation Fabric app depends on the dbxdb_backendcertificate_get operation that is part of the dbpRbLocalServicesdb Integration service. The dbpRbLocalServicesdb Integration service is present in the DBPLocalServices Fabric application. In this operation, BACKENDCERTNAME from the MSCertificateConstants class is used as a parameter. By default, the value of the BACKENDCERTNAME parameter is T24.
  • When the user logs in through the DbxUserLogin Session, the customer_id is fetched from the Identity handler.
  • For JWT Token Generation, the Account Aggregation Fabric app depends on the dbxdb_backendcertificate table that is present in the database. The dbxdb_backendcertificate table has an entry for T24 backend certificate.

Add Server Properties

  1. From the upper-right corner of the screen, hover over the Temenos icon and select the Environments tab.
  2. Go to your Quantum environment, and then select the App Services icon. The App Services page opens in a new window.
  3. From the left pane, select the Settings tab.
  4. Add the following parameters in the Configuration parameters section for JWT Generation.
  5. Environment Variable Parameters Description Mandatory Expected Values (Examples)
SERVICE_REQUEST_ROLE_ID Specifies the Role ID accepted by the Service Request Microservice Yes ADMIN
SERVICE_REQUEST_AUTHORIZATION_KEY For Azure AWS deployments, SERVICE_REQUEST_AUTHORIZATION_KEY specifies additional security headers for the API. No
    • The x-api-key value in AWS
    • The code value in Azure.
SERVICE_REQUEST_DEPLOYMENT_PLATFORM Specifies the deployment platform for the Service Request Microservice. No AWS or Azure
SERVICE_REQUEST_PRIVATE_ENCRYPTION_KEY For Azure AWS deployments, SERVICE_REQUEST_PRIVATE_ENCRYPTION_KEY specifies the encryption key required for JWT generation. Yes MhT.[wx(3k (Similar to T24_PRIVATE_ENCRYPTION_KEY)
DBP_HOST_URL Specifies the host URL for JWT. Yes https://dbxqa.konycloud.com:443
SERVICEREQUEST_HOST_URL Specifies the base path for the Service Request microservice APIs. Yes http://40.65.182.5:8085/ms-servicerequest-api/api/v1.0.0/orders/type/
  6. For deployment configuration, add the STREAM_NAME environment variable. This parameter denotes the type of deployment configuration. The accepted values for the STREAM_NAME environment variables are as follows:
    • kinesis
    • kafka
    • azureEventHub
  7. Based on the type of deployment the user must set the following configurations.
  8. All Consumers

Environment Variable Parameters Description Mandatory Expected Values (Examples)
SERVICE_REQUEST_CONSUMER Specifies the consumer name that must be configured Yes InfinityConsumerQA
    SERVICE_REQUEST_TOPIC

Specifies the Topic that the Engine app listens continuously. When the microservice generates an order, it publishes the order to this topic and the engine app picks it up.

The topic must align with the MS setup.

    Yes order-event
    SERVICE_CONFIRMATION_TOPIC

Specifies the Topic that the Engine app configures. When the response is fetched from the backend, based on the order, the engine app transforms and publishes the response to this topic. The microservice picks the response from this topic.

The topic must align with the MS setup.

    Yes acknowledgement-event
    STREAM_NAME

Before publishing, the environment variable must accept the following stream values and initialize the consumer.

    • kinesis
    • kafka
    • azureEventHub

    Yes kinesis/kafka/azureEventHub

    Kafka

Environment Variable Parameters Description Mandatory Expected Values (Examples)
SERVICE_REQUEST_KAFKA_SERVER_URL Specifies the Bootstrap URL with IP and Port number. Based on MS deployment 40.62.21.2:29092

AWS_ACCESS_SECRET Specifies the Amazon Web Services Access Secret Based on MS deployment
AWS_REGION Specifies the region of Amazon Web Services Deployment. Based on MS deployment
APP_NAME Specifies the name of the application. Based on MS deployment

The AWS details are credentials to the Cloud environment and are confidential in nature.

    Azure Event Hubs

Environment Variable Parameters Description Mandatory Expected Values (Examples)
AZURE_BOOTSTRAP_SERVER Specifies the Event Hubs Bootstrap URL. Based on MS deployment servicerequestkafkaapp.servicebus.windows.net:9093
AZURE_SECURITY_PROTOCOL Specifies the Event Hubs Security protocol. Based on MS deployment PLAIN
AZURE_SASL_MECHANISM Specifies the SASL mechanism. Based on MS deployment SASL_SSL
AZURE_CONNECTION_STRING Specifies the connection string of Events Hub Based on MS deployment
